    Lost our bridge...

I know it's minor and we are blessed that our house and animals are safe. But what a nut kick. This was our first "big expenditure" on our property and there are so many good memories centered around the creek and this bridge. It was set in concrete footers on both ends and underneath with 8' drill stem anchors. Bank just washed away...and so did the bridge. It looks like it held together. May be able to recover it somewhat. It's the main access to the back of the property where I hunt. This creek has never been out of the banks going back almost 30 years from talking to previous landowners. It was 10-12 feet out in spaces. Our other spring fed creek is tiny....it's over our property line fence and washing away the big culvert and rock we put in. Crazy amounts of rain this week.

Great thing about owning land, there's always something to do. Some thing's you get to do twice. Good luck getting it back in place

      Dang!

I knew the area was getting hit pretty good because my parents live not all that far from you, but I didn't know it had been coming down like that.

Dammit man! We were hammered here in Katy. Slacking off now. Hopefully you may be able to salvage some of it.

That sucks Bobby. Hopefully the original company will help you out if they said it would be flood proof.

I'll second what Stolle said. And if they wont Im sure we can drum up some labor around here to help you and Mary out. Let me know if you need something when the water goes down.

Kinda worried about our culvert we did a few years ago myself.

Appreciate that. Yeah...we probably lost our fairly new culvert and road base on the house side of the property. It looks like a lake...usually has a little water flow through a 36" culvert (I think).

Yeah, that dang water. Most powerful force.

I am curious about my main lease property as well. Will be going up next week to check it out after the last two big rains. Imagine I will see some new scenery.

Well if you are on the green side of the grass be thankful of it every day. Life always throws obstacles in the way and hate seeing it but glad y’all are safe
