I agree but last week I went and bought taco stuff for 5, 2lbs hamburger, chips, salsa, veggies, cheese, and sour cream, it was $45. Tacos and spaghetti are supposed to the cheap dinner.... hate this clown world.

That's why I shoot plenty does. We dont buy ground meat. I don't pay for a lease or buy bait either. Strictly public where bait is not allowed so I feel like I'm saving money beings as ground meat is 6 bux or more per lb now

Hippo Burgers are legit IMO.

Since they have 10 locations I guess you could call them a chain.

Reading back through I missed this gem. If I do eat a burger at McDs it is absolutely a double cheeseburger or McDouble. It is the Allsup Burrito of the fast food burger world. Cheap (well it used to be), palatable for McDs and good in numbers for a post hunt grab and go. Also good for on the road drive because it doesn't have anything that will fall out of the burger while eating..

And the game changer for me was figuring out you can get extra pickles extra onions for free!

Never had a Hippo burger except from their original location on Wilson Road in Humble... Best dang burger I ever ett! Trouble is, that place is about 2 blocks from my old office and they deliver in the area... I dang near turned into a Hippo eatin' those things!!

Hamburger depot makes a really good burger here in southeast Texas, but I haven’t been in a couple of years. They used to be pretty expensive, so I cringe to think what they cost now.
