Sonic burger last night

I drove to Florida and back last week and wow! was I surprised by the ridiculous prices at these fast food places. I don't go to them in ordinary circumstances.

I went through a local jack in the box to try their new smash burger
$11 for just the burger, not the combo.
after verifying that it was $11 for 1 hamburger; I said “NO” and drove away.

What i was wondering. You could literally insert any fast food name in that spot and get the same results. Its to the point now you can go sit down and eat at a diner somewhere for same price or less than most of these FF places and support local. I have my mental notes of where the fast places are to get in and out. And or where trailer parking is.

That's what I was thinking. It's been about $13 for one meal at Whataburger for several years. You can figure about $12-$13 per person on average. Being alive is expensive these days and even dying has gotten more expensive!

Sonic is absolutely horrible ! I won’t even purchase a drink from them anymore. Jack in the crack and McDonald’s are right there with them IMO.

Well, i don't have my reading glasses, so i told them i can't read it.. they responded "go through the drive through... "

...and then they still give you the stink-eye when you don't add on a tip!

Not asleep, we just don't frequent them as often as most and it's always a sticker shock. Ever since a burger, only, without cheese got over $4 I usually just keep on driving.

Fried chicken is absolutely ridiculous. I buy the chicken only at Brookshires on their sales every now and then.

Jack in the Crack tacos and eggrolls still the best fast food around. lived off them for years when I was younger

I out of control inflation. The buck only stop with you and I. The extra cost is always going to get past on the the consumer.

I refuse to do it these days almost entirely. I've never been a big fast food eater, but I very rarely grab anything on the go with the stupidity of prices and the quality of most fast-food plummeting these days. Same goes for restaurants, honestly hate the cost and hassle of restaurants. Total waste of money.

I agree but last week I went and bought taco stuff for 5, 2lbs hamburger, chips, salsa, veggies, cheese, and sour cream, it was $45. Tacos and spaghetti are supposed to the cheap dinner.... hate this clown world.
