    This is why you don't buy stuff with out titles

    Just guessing most.of these folks had no idea their equipment was stolen
    Texas Parks & Wildlife has announced that game wardens recovered over $100,000.00 worth of stolen boats, trailers, and fishing equipment during the recent Sealy Outdoors Big Bass Splash on Lake

      Just 100k, that's like 1 boat with accessories. Must of had live scope on it.

                    Police can't prove they current owners actually stole anything. They'll take whatever it is to a storage lot or property room and try to get it to the rightful owner.

                    Even a title isn't a guarantee now. Not when you have DMV employees stealing the blue title paper and selling it to good forgery operations.

                          Yeah 100k of fishing stuff is nothing any more.

                          You can't trace rods and reels, there can't be that many stolen boats and motors fishing that that tournament. Graphs have serial numbers but how many people have those written down?

                            How can a GW 'recover' stolen rods and reels, etc. if they can't prove they were stolen in the first place?

                              That is a good question. I doubt I have a single rod or reel that has a serial number on it and I have some higher end rods and reels.
