What does the fruit taste like? Does the taste vary a lot between types?

Does the fruit taste like the candy ?

The fruit on my tree and I don’t know what variety I have, looks very much like a cherry and about the same size. It has a pit like a cherry as well. The texture is very much like an apple and the taste is similar to as apple but not as sweet, much milder but not sour.
It makes the best butter ever. You know like apple butter only better.

There was a huge Jujubee tree at the Camp Verde store, south of Kerrville. First and only one I’ve ever seen.

Never heard of this tree before, but I am intrigued.

They taste a lot like apples. My trees are fairly young and last year was the first year they put on a decent amount of fruit. I suspect they’ll put out a bunch more this year based on how they look now.

          Thanks for the info.

I will have to try and grow a couple of these trees.

Well they aren’t native here. They come from Asia and India I think.
