It's nearly impossible to fill them all in a single day unless you start in the morning while the animals are feeding and finish in the evening while they're feeding again. We pay a guy $750 and he does it over two days to try to avoid peak activity times around the feeders. This is with him pulling under our overhead grain bins, filling up a blower buggy and filling them with a blower, so no moving bags of feed around by hand.
2000 lbs versus 22000 lbs is a huge difference. I don't understand not wanting to be around when there eating it doesn't make a difference there still going to eat it I promise.

We run 7 corn and 7 protein feeders, each hold 1,000+ lbs. We just pay the local feed store a small fee to fill them when needed. It's cheaper than what our diesel would cost to get there and back. Also, since this allows us to buy feed in bulk the actual feed is cheaper than if we got it in bags. With their fee to fill them, it comes out a wash. Yes, it's actually more expensive for us to fill them ourselves. Occasionally we will top them off with bags while we are there, but a full filling...no sir. Been doing it this way for years and no issues. Maybe since they KNOW we have cameras all over the place? Anyway, it's a great service that we really appreciate.

        I 100% agree with this.

This is what we do in Uvalde. My single feeder holds 7, 50 # bags and throws about a bag a week if set on morning/evening. Double feeders with one set mornings & the other set evenings will allow me to feed for 14 weeks. And if one poops out, I still have corn in my area.
