FWIW I have done a little of this with almost the exact same setup. Last time I mowed for hire was 2 years ago so take that into account. I charged $50 an acre for first time cut and $35-$40 for everything g after that depending on the property. I felt like that was pretty fair.
My opinion, anything north of $60 an hour is absured and taking advantage of people unless it's a very thick/tall (6'+) growth foe the equipment you're running.

if it’s Bahia grass it’s gonna take longer during the hot months unless you mow it early in the morning.Last edited by Bucknaked; 04-05-2024, 05:09 PM.

I charge my neighbor $125/ac (what it calculated out to, I didn't give a rate)
Mine field of rocks and old junk.
I have mowed it twice per year for around 5 years and have moved a lot of those things and learned where most of the rest are.
I charged them closer to $200/ac for the first time and the wife balked when I gave them my price. I explained that I could do more damage in 30min on the junk and rocks than what the total cost to her would be. When I was done she agreed that it was fair after hearing the mower hit a few things and seeing how long it actually took because of how slow I had to move so I could see and dodge the obstacles
I wish they would find someone else, only reason I do it is to be neighborly.
If it was just a pasture/ clean field I would probably not charge near as much

For your set up, $60/hr. You're estimating 12-13 hours, so I'd say that job is worth about $750.
If I was mowing with my 15' batwing, I'd charge $150/hr. Job would take me about 5 hours and the job would still be about $750.
But.....but....if you used a push mower, you'd charge $20/hr. Job would take about a 40hours and job would be about $800.
You'll make more money if you just used a pushmower.
