The best study I read and it has been a while back was a variety of dogs were fed different foods, mostly dry. Each serving was weighed for each dog and then these dogs being in kennels, thier poop was weighed each day to see what % of food was actually absorbed by each dog. I am not sure as to which brand food was absorbed the most, but I do know the WORST. OLD ROY! 97% poop rate. It is a wonder these dogs on this survive. Eat 100 pounds of food, 97 pounds comes out their but!
It has been 2021 since I lost my last Rottie, but they did well on not just dry, but a mix of dry, raw eggs and some wet food that was not from a can. It was expensive with 140# and 120# Rotties, but these were out kids!Comment
