As far as animals go it's the same situation in Colorado and just about as bad in New Mexico. They can't even have coyote calling contest in New Mexico. I don't know what happened to that state but there's a bunch of weirdos there too. Animal rights people shut things down but they ain't the ones raising livestock. Most likely never stepped foot out of the city so they don't care. Mr. Coyote is real cute until he's dragging Fluffy or Fido through the yard by their neck.

Agreed. Very sad and tragic. Prayers for the family

On the positive side of this thread... Nevada not only has a moose population, they have approved a hunting season for 2024.

I would have never guessed there was a moose population in Nevada.

Just read the cat article. Georgetown is a small town in Northern CA, in the foothills between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe. I used to live there when I was a kid. People in that part of the state are generally not the kind you associate with LA, SF and Hollywood crap. They didn't say were the brothers were from, but I can't see too many people drive from SF to Georgetown for a hike, especially at those young ages. This is tragic. I used to always be cautious when I was walking trails or even just down the country roads when I lived there. Though I'm pretty sure there wouldn't have been much I could have done about it, even if I saw it walking toward me. Glad at least one of them lived. I can guarantee you it wasn't the people living in that part of the state who voted to ban mountain lion hunting. It was all those city folks who live safely out of the Mountain lion's range who did that. They like the "thought" of cute kitties running free in the mountains. If they actually had to worry about getting attacked by one every time they checked their mail it might be a different story.

That’s a shame and a tragedy for sure but the government has a hand in that and all of the big cat attacks.
There was a time, not too long ago, when cali had legal hunting for cats but the libs cried to get cat hunting banned. And they got their wish. They claimed that the cats were being hunted to extinction because nobody ever saw them but in their ignorance they didn’t realize the reason they never saw any was because the hunting kept them away from people for the most part. That and they are a very elusive animal. After the ban went into effect then it didn’t take long before the big cats started stalking humans. Now they want the government to do something about it.

California - They didn’t like people hunting mule deer on Catalina Island so they propose letting someone shoot em out of helicopters and let ‘em lay to get rid of them.

Well everyone knows lions are afraid of people and do not attack unless provoked.

You have to go to certain casinos to find them. They have a lot of hogs too.

Hmmm, I feel sure a "sarcasm emoji" is missing from this post.

Someone forgot to tell the lion then.
