The cool thing that hasn’t been mentioned is the drive itself from Calgary all the way to Jasper is about a pretty a drive as you’ll ever take whether you do it in one day or 5. Every inch of it is an adventure waiting to happen. Some gigantic elk along that road and they will be pretty much frown out but still in velvet in June. They will just stand there and drive right up to them. This is especially true in Banff National park.

Lake Moraine is an absolute must. We stayed in Canmore, drove into the park for free as the entrances weren't manned yet and were at the lake by 5:00 for first light and sunrise. It was a very early morning but very worth the breathtaking pictures, no crowds, and front row parking. By the time we left at 7:00, the parking lot was full. Banff is a very touristy town with plenty of shops and restaurants. Lake Louise was the second best place with some great hiking around the rim of the lake. The drive to Jasper is also breathtaking. Hands down, the prettiest country I've seen in my worldly travels. Be prepared for bears. We encountered 2 grizzlies during our time, both close to campgrounds, and both were thankfully not interested in us. We just stayed loud talking and moved with eyes up.

I wanted to update this real quick as we’re in Jasper currently on the last leg of our journey.
Words cannot describe how big and beautiful this country is. I will probably never see anything prettier this side of the Pearly Gates.
We have done so much and made so many incredible memories (not to mention taken tons and tons of pictures). If you’ve never been it should be a definite bucket-list trip for sure.

We had an amazing trip. Prettiest place we have ever seen. The food was really good everywhere we went. Super nice people, 35-65 degrees everyday. Little video I made.
