    Pervert moved in

Got news from the registered s#x offender site that a pervert moved into the neighborhood! Crazy thing is that the house is 300 feet from a school. My 13 year old daughter walks by the house twice a day to school! How is that allowed. Lots of neighbors raising hell and asking for answers.

Anyone had this happen in their quiet family friendly neighborhood?

I can’t answer your question…but I know this…my 13yr old daughter would no longer walk by that house twice a day

Depending on why he's on that list would determine whether I let her walk by there anymore. Maybe (hopefully) he just got caught taking a leak in public and that's why he's on his list.

They have more rights than you. It's the liberal way. Thank all those family, friends and acquaintances who vote liberal every time you can.

That’s not how you make the list.

Taking a leak in public would not put you on the sex offender list....so scratch that off the list

I always heard if you got caught urinating in public you could be charged with indecent exposure and potentially put on a sex offender list. I'm just gonna stick to urinating at my house, just in case.

However he got on the list one thing is certain, you can't do nothin about it. Except prevent it from happening to someone you know. That's really the only legal option.

It could be one of several reasons. The SO may be off of probation or parole and don't have any restrictions as to residency. The city you live in doesn't have any city ordinance restricting where child sex offenders can live, for example, our city has an ordinance prohibiting child sex offenders from residing within 1000 ft. of a school, day care, or city park. If the SO is on probation or parole, or your city has an ordinance regarding sex offender residency, the SO may be non-compliant. In that case you can get something done.

First thing is to find out the details of his history.

I know two people who were one public urination away (3 total) from being on that list permanently. Because they went in an alleyway to take a leak while walking home from the bar.

That is exactly how you get on that list...

You can also get on it for being 18 yo and having a 17 yo GF, doing exactly what 99% of members on this forum would have done in the same situation.

It absolutely matters what the reason is.

I had a buddy get put on a sex offender list for dating the same girl from 8th grade until they married. He was 2 years older than her and got her pregnant. The girls mom,( now his mil ) called the police on him.

Took him 5 years and about $50K to get his name off of it.

He's now married to the same girl, with 3 kids, enjoying life. Everything isn't always black & white.

But I do share the OP concerns as well

I had one move in across the street from me when I lived in Spring. I knocked on the door and talked to the couple that just moved in about it. They were both in their 20’s. Turns out when he was 18 and girlfriend was 17. Her daddy reported him. They were happily married now and glad that I approached them and didn’t treat them like outcast.

This may not be your situation OP, but it’s imperative that you find out.

Yep, seen this twice in my small town. Both guys are married with kidsnow . That is irrelevant in this situation, get on the DPS and see what he did.
