I have 2 personal friends that bought the newer ones because they loved their 2018’s so much. They say the 22’s and 23’s are pure junk in comparison..
One friend is filing a lemon law claim. His dash keeps going black and Toyota says they can’t fix it. And that’s just one of the many issues he has had.

I bought a Used '22. Hunter Green in color, which I think is different and looks good. End of the year sale, saw it on 12/31 and worked out my financing on 1/2/24 $45,000.
TSS OffRoad 4X4. 21,000 miles. I think it runs well. Has great acceleration when I need it. Good storage for hunting essentials. It feels smooth on the highway speeds 75-90mph. I don't drive much distance to work. But I do drive on trips some.
I drove to Birmingham and back last weekend for some College baseball. The truck stayed at 17-18mpg the entire way. I am not real happy with the 19 gallon gas tank. Of course, this is coming from me who has driven only 3 F250s since 1999. Big tanks, big trucks, 4 doors etc.
Overall, in the 2 months I have daily driven the Toyota Tundra I am satisfied with performance, electronics, appearance, comfortable ride, space, storage under the back seats.
Sadly, I left Ford because they priced me out of that truck model.

I bought mine in March of 20 right before the world shut down. V8 with the large gas tank. Its a beast of a truck and has taken me all over the country. Every time I get an oil change they offer me what paid for it in 20'. Hopefully they will fix all the hugs n the newer models before I am ready to get another one

This coming from driving all the brands as company trucks over the years (no subjective or vested interest in brand, just reliability concerns).
          I agree with this 100%.
I drove company trucks for over 40 years. Drove every brand many times. The Ford F-150 with the 5.0 was the best by far of any. When I retired 2years ago I bought a 2022 F150 with the 5.0. I average 19-20 mpg.

We have a 22. There is no lack of power with the v6 and haven’t had any problems towing the little we tow.

We do have a brake issue though. Brakes squeal very badly 90% of the time. Bad enough you can hear them from a 1/2 mile away. It’s not just a squeal and stop. I can make them do it for as long as you can keep the truck in the 10-20mph range. We've had a lemon suit filed against Toyota since May.

I have a 2024 long bed and it’s awesome. The ride off road is so nice compared to my 2019 RAM.

His is a 23 and it also dies for no reason going down the highway. And his windows will roll down on their own while going down the highway.

I have a ‘23 and love it. Tons of room inside and rides super smooth. It also hauls butt when I need it to. Getting 18 mpg
