I've gotta echo the sentiments of many others in this thread and say that I'm shocked with how little I've heard about this on the news.

A massive Texas wildfire is finally dying down. Its impact could last years. - The Washington Post

Best article I've found so far giving a broader picture of damages, fire range, animal deaths, etc.

while the fires have devastated this part of Texas...... over 7000 cows lost, lots of wildlife and habitat loss, home and barns, tractors and vehicles. No one could prepare you for the endless line of aid coming from all parts of the country. People giving all they have to assist in rebuilding and taking care of those affected. Yall- humanity is by nature good. I know the news likes to tell us the world is evil and to fear everything but come sit in Canadian or Fritch, or other towns suffering tremendous loss and see the oceans of people coming to the rescue. Neighbors being good neighbors. There is so much hope in this world. So much good. Fire and chaos tried to disrupt but just as new grass is already emerging from the scorched earth humanity is showing the answer to the question of where is God----He is right here. Love yall.....

Probably why there is no news, does not fit the narrative the MSM wants to portray
So awesome to see the help being given to that area

If and that is a BIG IF, they can get some substantional rains on these fire areas, it will come back very quickly and hopefully stay that way for critters, ranchers and livestock to recover. They went thur this not too long ago if my memory is working. I pray those affected by these fires are getting the help they need!

Last week at the Nixon Livestock sale the owner said we are selling 2 pairs for the Panhandle fires. There was 2 men that bought the 2 pairs for $20,000 and then they donated them back and then two other men bought them for another $20,000. Another man from Gonzales donated a 18 wheeler of hay and his truck for hauling. God Bless Texas.

We offered to donate 50-60 rolls of hay, I made contact with gray county, we’re making arrangements for them to pick it up.
