Tragic event, nonetheless.
This. However, I disagree it's not a major impact.

Amen. Prayer sent to all those folks impacted by this.

Well.....how do you expect me to comprehend the written English language at 7am on a Sunday? I read it more clearly now. Thanks.

Winds were already stiff at 7:30 when I let the dog out. Supposed to be 30-40 up there with warm temps and low humidity. It could very well get out of control again today

I’m wanting to assist with a donation. Does anyone know a reputable recipient/organization? Or, an individual that needs some help?

I'm disappointed with the lack of coverage it's getting...thought for sure there would some before / after satellite pics. 1 million acres + is crazy.

Anyone know how many counties were affected??

not positive if this is the total extent but supposedly Abbott declared 60 counties as a disaster area… like you, I am very disappointed with the local news. I get the news out of the San Antonio area and they have not given the fire much attention…

I try to keep up with the meat packing side of things. Been retired for ten years or so and when I hung it up they were killing about 118,000 head per day in federally inspected plants. I did a quick check for last week and the number was 600,000 head for Monday through Saturday. My point was that compared to the normal slaughter rate, 10,000 to 15,000 isn't very significant. I was watching AgDay on tv early this morning and their experts were saying the same thing. It is devastating to the producers that lose the animals, but not much of a factor in the overall market.

Yessir. I totally misunderstood what you were trying to say and someone else pointed it out.

Can you imagine fighting a fire that has burned over a million acres...one bucket at a time?
