While we're playing make believe lets pretend that was a thing. Y'all would find a way to plant something that's less flammable year after year. Wouldn't ya? You bet you would. Wouldn't be such a challenge if you were held responsible.

Or lets say you were taxed more if you were to plant something that's highly flammable within so many acres of a town or dwelling in make believe land. I bet you could figure out what you'd plant there year after year pretty quickly.

The economics of farming and ranching don’t Pay out like you’d think. They don’t do it for free or the fun of it. It’s their business. Like any other business, if you make bad decisions you don’t stay in business long. If it’s not in their business interests to plant, plow, or set aside a particular spot, they don’t do it. Furthermore, it is not their responsibility in the least to provide protection for anyone but themselves.
And once again, there we have it. It's not that they. can't do it. It's the fact that they won't. Which is the point I was trying to make the entire time.

It wouldn't be any different than what they do now. They could swap crops just like they do any other year but in such a way that's it's beneficial to their community.

Believe me, I know about how farmers are. They're most definitely not looking out for anyone but themselves. If it'd cost a penny more than what it normally does they sure wouldn't do it. Cheap asses. Every one of 'em I know is so tight they squeak when they walk but yet they'd step over a quarter to pick up a dime. I know all about how they are man.

And once again, it doesn't matter what should be done. They ain't gonna. So............I mean, who's dumb in this scenario? A guy that merely suggested a solution to the problem or people that are arguing against something that doesn't exist now and isn't ever going to? It's kind of like saying " If we ever find out the moon is made of cheese, we should all go get some." And then a bunch of dudes that make cheese start talking about how impractical that would be. It's a suggestion guys.....you know what that is? It's when one guy's like "Hey, we should do this." And that's all it was that started a big long drawn out thing. Which in itself doesn't matter. So at this point the question is, are you wasting my time or yours? I got all the time in the world. I could keep you busy for years with this. LOL

So it's up to you. I'll run y'all in circles until we're all dead. Don't matter to me one bit.

He set up a fake scenario which is about all you guys with an opposing opinion can come up with at this point. So I set up one of my own. If you're dumb enough to read a fake scenario, that's on you. Thanks for playing along.

It could be easier to just say, yeah farmers don't do that because they don't want to...... because that's exactly the reason. Everyone's acting like it's really, really hard to do.

Since farmers and ranchers are so selfish and idiotic, I am sure you do not buy any food from the grocery store, correct? Nobody ever said farming & ranching was easy or for the faint-hearted but people that think like you dang sure do not help. That's alright though because people in this industry don't do it because they are gonna make big money, they do it because they love the land and freedom that comes with the way of life. Beautiful thing about this country is our freedom to have an opinion with that being said I respect your opinion and your capability to voice that opinion without consequences. But if you vote for Joe again, we will be trending towards losing those freedoms..

I love this. Hope you don’t mind if I appropriate it for myself upon occasion.

I don't really know who you're preaching to. I live in the heart of farm country. Deeper in it than any of y'all do. That's for sure. Nobody has to tell me how farmers are and this and that and the other. So who are you arguing with, yourself? Because I know you ain't talking to me. I can look outside and see farmland for as far as I can see in any direction. I know some farmers there man. I've met a few.

I don't think they're bad people. If I didn't talk to ranchers and farmers I'd literally know like 10 people total.

I’m not going to get into this argument but what most here are saying is that the fire that went thru Canadian is not farm country. I have drove through there on my way to hunt Kansas and that part of Texas is rough terrain. So the logic of planting winter type grasses isn’t going to work.
