I see whitetail for sale all the time at HEB from Broken Arrow ranch. So somehow there is a way to sell whitetail.

I would bet it is pen/deer-farm raised. Same is done with axis for commercial use.

Are you sure it doesn't just say VENISON? I searched HEB's website and nothing for whitetail came up. They do sell venison, which is almost certainly farm-raised Axis. I'm also 99.9% sure it is against the law to sell whitetail meat in Texas. It wouldn't matter if it was farm-raised or not, as the state owns all the whitetail as they remind us often. I could be wrong.

One way to sell it, is to do like the Jack Daniels distillery does in Lynchburg. They sell the glass bottle and it comes with the liquid inside. They are the wettest dry county in the US. Haha

Just sell the plastic bag it is in, and the meat comes with it.

Here is what I see. The Broken Arrow Ranch(the label) has a office close by here in Ingram. My wife is there now. I asked here to send a pic of it. Here it it.
It does not say whitetail. Just venison.

Just order it. Broken arrow ranch, or Maui nui venison. Or go to H‑E‑B and get some ground bison and then you have a great reason to go shoot a bison
