The city of Austin has a power line that crosses two of my places. They are the absolute worst when it comes to damaging stuff. They spent a lot of money fixing two creek crossings that didn’t make it through the first good rain. Absolute idiots. One little culvert on a creek that needed one ten times bigger.

They left the gate open between me and a neighbor. We wound up spending a day separating cattle. I told them to leave the gates like they find them. But their policy is to close all gates. They closed one to where my cattle couldn’t get to water. It’s a constant battle when they are on your property.

Yes Sir because when they are on your property they could give a crap - I told them the day before they were coming on my property that we had over four inches of rain the day before and that they would tear my pasture and road up - they came anyway - it is total BS

Here is what my pasture looked like the day they came to do their work - ridiculous

Glad it got fixed. From over here on the utility side, some jobs need to happen rain or shine regardless of the ground conditions. Some of my jobs seem to have impeccable timing right after heavy rain. With thousands of line miles to maintain if we stopped work every time the ground got wet nothing would get done. I always tell landowners the process may not be pretty but it'll get fixed after work is completed.
