I have 25 acres of coastal field and it has a 30 foot easement that runs through part of it with 4 polls. Last month Oncor called and said they would be coming onto my property with their equipment later that week. I told them I had just had over 4 inches of rain and the ground would be soaked. Well they came anyway and it was so muddy they had to rent large track vehicles. Not only did they destroy part of my field they went way outside of their easement. They also drove them on my asphalt driveway and tore the hell out of it. They are claiming they will come back in and "repair" my field and driveway but I am doubtful. One picture is one part of my driveway being destroyed. I may end up having to hire an attorney. Total BS.

They have damaged my easement on 2 different occasions when its been wet. Never even had to ask them about repairing the damages, always did a great job repairing the damage. Hired out a landscaping company both times for repairs. Now getting the lazy #$*&% to trim the trees in the power lines, thats another story.

Stay on them and make them fix it right. Eventually, they will but don’t be afraid to run it up the chain of command and be wary of them trying to fix it on the cheap.
A contractor for our electric co-op rutted up my roads at the ranch last year. I got on them, especially when they said they were going to bring a dozer out to fix them. I questioned how they were going to use a dozer to fix rutted roads, and it rapidly became apparent they were planning to scape dirt from other parts of the pasture.
I told them that wasn’t going to work and called the co-op, eventually speaking to the CEO. With the co-ops somewhat reluctant cooperation, I forced them to hire a guy that I know to bring out his maintainer and have dirt hauled. It took forever but I finally got it fixed.

Hopefully they make it right
I am going to give them a chance to repair - but it needs to be done right.
Finding someone at Oncor who is in the chain of command can be difficult but I will try

Call them and they will fix it. Or if you can find where the line crew is showing up at. Somewhere close I’m positive.
They will fix it. And they will pay for getting out of the easement.
I was a contractor superintendent for them for 6 years in Terrell Tyler & Athens areas installing line with a helicopter.
Biggest reason for using the ship was easement issues.
They hate bad press more than anything .
Good luck.

Maxie Coursey was my contact.
He gets things done and has 50 years with oncor in the DFW area.
His contact info should be easy to locate if he hasn’t retiredLast edited by Huntingfool; 02-22-2024, 06:33 PM.
