So plot update, cut most of the plot down yesterday seeds galore (brown top millet, milo, sorghum flourished , I left some standing rows and sprayed them yesterday. I set out the decoys yesterday and this morning the wife and I sat outside drinking out and watched the flocks of mourning and white wing just keep landing guess I did a good job for the first time!! I will post better pics on my days off1 Photo

The other stand alone acre i planted took off great. Then i guess the weeds choked it out because its went to crap quick.

Glad to hear of your success! Sounds like the time/effort is paying off. Our first attempt failed. We plowed about 10 acres and planted peredovic seeds around April 1st. We got really timely rains over the first 6 weeks and the field was full of sunflowers12-14" tall. Then the rain quit - we haven't had but a drop or two all summer. The good news is that disturbing the soil must have jump-started some long-dormant native sunflowers that not only survived but are 5'-6' tall. There's not really enough of them to hunt over but if we keep working that field maybe they will spread
