    Best Rangefinder With ARC?

I am looking for a rangefinder that compensates for elevation. It doesn't need a lot of bells and whistles and I'd like to stay under $200. I only bow hunt so it is not important for it to range long distances.

    Any suggestions?

Bushnell Chuck A. $199 and goes to 850 yards.

I took a Nikon Archers Choice and couldn't get it to range beyond a little over one hundred yards. That may not be important for archery but if you wanted to use it for other things it sure would.

I'm usually NOT a Bushnell guy but I do have the Bushnell 850 arc. Got it for $179 at Walmart and it's very nice. Same as the Chuck Adams edition accept its green not camo... I've never got it to show over 700 yards, even on metal barns, but it does very well out to 600 yards and has ARC from 5-100 yards.

FYI: My buddy's 1000 Leupold won't show past about 750 either and it cost twice as much...

I was planning on getting a Leupold RX-1000i TBR until I found a deal I couldn't pass up on a Nikon Archer's Choice. It works great. I like it better than my old Bushnell. Nothing was wrong with the Bushnell but I like the way the Nikon is set up better and it seems brighter in low light situations.

I've got to agree with this for sure. They can be found used in the classifieds on AT for within your price range!

                          +1,

I use an RX-750. Great rangefinder.

                            Perfect timing for this thread.

I had a Bushnell ARC 1000 until my truck was broken in to and stolen. I liked it OK but it was expensive $300+. I'm not gonna pay that much for the next one.

I'm not even sure I'm gonna get one with ARC. It didn't seem that useful even when hunting 20 feet up. The difference in yardage was negligible.

The Redfield's get great reviews at Bass Pro and Cabelas websites and are very affordable but I don't think they have a model with ARC.

For Pike County next season. I didn't think I would ever need the ARC stuff but when I was hunting at Giles Island we went 30 feet up the trees in the climbers. My guide had a rangefinder with ARC and I tested it out against my rangefinder without and at certain distances the readings were 7-8 yards difference. So my Nikon 550 is going to go on the classifieds and then I'm going to buy whatever is suggested here.
