Not to hijack, but my low and high beams on 2006 F350 are yellow/ noticeably dim. I’ve cleaned the lens several time and only helps for a little bit. Any ideas on an older truck to get some brightness/ whiteness without blinding others?

and B4 the smart-ars comments, 6.0 diesel approaching 300k, I plan on keeping long enough to sport a classic/antique plate.

They do turn yellow after a while, best option is just buy new headlights and put the lowest led bulb you can get. Done this to my wife’s 2001 excursion 7.3 and a 2006 f250. Works great

New headlamps and 8-10k led bulb, works great! Don’t put the 12k-16k led bulb, everyone will be flashing you

I put 6k and had to clock a box on the website to acknowledge they were meant for offroad use. I cant imagine 12-16k

I've got a 2016 ram 4x4 that's been leveled, same issue with being flashed at. I adjusted the headlights down to try to remedy the issue but there isn't enough adjustment to make much difference to oncoming traffic. Also have a 2017 F250 that is stock height for a 4x4 and get flashed at about half as much but it also casts the light differently than the ram does. The 2020 and up Fords do have ridiculously bright factory headlights(almost double the brightness of my 2017 in a side by side comparison).
I think part of the issue is that not only are the newer lights twice as bright as they used to be but the factory ride height on the newer trucks is 4 to 6 inches higher than it was 10 years ago which puts the headlights windshield height on most passenger cars and smaller trucks.
Side note, most factory vehicles are set to run the fog lights on only with the low beam lights. Therefore if the fog lights are on most are already on low beam lights so flashing at them does no good because the driver can't change anything. I know some people have them programed to be on with high beam lights as well but that isn't the majority of vehicles on the road.

Sorry for the double, not sure why it does that. Get an error message about the post and then it doubles it up when you hit post again

I call it poor regulations and makes it obvious the entire inspection process is nothing more than another tax.

add ridiculously loud vehicles to that list.

We get no government assistance where we need it and a ton where we dont.

an actual inspection process where they check the headlight aim like they did years ago would fix much of this problem because most of the main issue is people that lift or level their truck without re-aiming the headlights

Are you saying it’s annoying that other people are flashing you because your headlights are improperly positioned after you leveled the truck?

I have a '23 tundra that I leveled. I get flashed by every other driver with my low beams on. I know how bright they are, and feel bad about it, because people coming the other way with lights just as bright bother me as well. I generally drop my lights from my brights down past the lows and straight to my daytime running lights. They're in the same housing as the regular low beams, and are still brighter than my brights were on my old tundra. It's basically like having three settings.

now that your truck has been leveled the beams are shining higher than they should so re-aim your headlights

My 2016 has a dial on the dash that I can adjust the attitude up or down of my headlights.
