I don't think you have heard of the legend of Domingo Ayala.

Rangers sign reliever David Robertson. Should be a good add to the bullpen

I also thought when we signed beltre it was kinda meh. Knew he was a good 3rd baseman but didn’t wow me with the bat the years he was with L.A. and Seattle…remember thinking he was streaky. Never saw Brooks, Schmidt, but I saw some of George Brett, Chipper, Rolen. Got to put him with Brooks and Schmidt and possibly ahead. Was pure entertainment.

Robinson, Boggs, and Schmitty, we’re all that we could come up with. I didn’t see Brooks Robinson play, and not a ton of Mike Schmidt, but my dad says he’s never seen a guy play 3rd as well and hit like Beltre. I think he’s the best 3rd baseman ever, even without being a great dude, and a blast to watch.

he’s a top 3 Ranger ever for me, and a legend of the game.

I hate to see it but reports are that the Rangers are not going to sign Jordan Montgomery.

He will probably sign for a cubic buttload of cash, but really cannot blame him.

He turned out to be a really good pitcher that showed up in some of the Rangers biggest games.

What about George Brett, Paul Molitor or Eddie Matthews?

Doesn't sound like their will be any more signings this off-season. But I think we'll be alright as long as the current projected rotation can stay healthy till July when they should be getting some reinforcement. I think Cody Bradford is being overlooked and will be a solid help in the first half.

If you believe in WAR, it’s Schmidt-Mathews-Beltre.

                        Mathews born in Texarkana, btw.

Just heard some baseball talk on The Fan and Bacsik mentioned Pete Alonso as one of the big MLB trade targets this season...that would fill that DH spot strongly to quite strongly

He never wowed me last year, but it felt like he got a lot of playing time on the big team a little too early. He's got a ton of potential, but is going to have to figure out how to draw more ground ball outs, because opposing batters drove the ball high and far on him a LOT last season.

All studs, but not on Beltre, and Schmidt’s level.

I would have to go Beltre, Schmidt, Boggs. I’m unfamiliar with Matthews.
