What kinda makes me chuckle is guys on here worried or complaining about no heat. Most have been on hunts out West- I spent 13 days in temps that the high was about 35 and lows in teens. We had a wall tent with a small stove. Most have paid to go on these trips and say it was a great trip but go a couple days in Texas without electric and it was a nightmare

ERCOT again.
Power conservation
ERCOT has issued another call for electricity conservation on Tuesday morning, during the hours of 6 am to 9 am, due to cold temperatures statewide and surging power demand. The current forecast for electricity shows demand forecast to be higher than supplies during this time frame, so it is possible that we see some rolling blackouts for a couple of hours. It’s something we’ll all be monitoring early tomorrow morning, I am sure.

Saw news cast on the Weather Channel about how the whole energy industry in Texas is run by idiots from the generation transmission, transportation to the sale of power,
the generation plants are old and obsolete, the employees are incompetent or apathetic, the transmission is obsolete and unreliable and unmanaged ( maintained) the local government / supply is trapped by first two & the end user is trapped by the power supply system
I wish I had a better understanding of how incompetent the system is, all I know is that I receive texts year round that I need to conserve or have a blackout, it’s 15* outside and my HVAC is taxed to maintain 65 inside so F the whole thing

Seriously?
ERCOT certainly deserves some criticism but c’mon, The Weather Channel?
