They were still deep and not very active the other day in NT. Heading a little east next week. Going to try Cedar, Navarro or chambers. Weather looks good. I’m sure the water will be a little warmer… anyone shooting docks yet?

They’re 12-22’ on N Conroe. I haven’t tried any docks I would think it’s too early for that but who knows.

Nice!! I tie some up and the rest I get from Chris at Slab Syndicate. Sitting in 7th I think. One more day. poverty Point in the morning. Been eating like a king! I’m not even sure when we gotta be there tomorrow!! Been on 2 different lakes so far and a new one tomorrow.

37 degrees with a 20mph N wind and gusts to 35! Cloudy with a high of 45 today. Must be a crappie tournament going on!!! Gonna be 45 boats huddled up on the N end of poverty point chasing crappie in circles.

I might try the banks of Choke Canyon Next Weekend, little warming trend coming so hoping this will get them closer, I usually start catching them this time of year into march for that lake!

Weather was brutal but Poverty Point was awesome! Put a good sack together there. Not having a good fish the first 2 days hurt us but that’s how it goes. Had 12.57 on 5 fish yesterday with a 2.96 big fish. Those fish are built like mini Grenada slabs! Picking up 5th place hardware today and having Podnuhs BBQ on the way home! Their bbq is ok but their beans are amazing!

National Crappie Trail runs a good trail. Hate I can’t fish all of them! We finished 3rd in their Toledo Bend tournament and that qualified us for their championship. 3 days on 3 different lakes was kinda cool.

work 3 days and head back to D’Arbonne for Crappie Masters! It’s tournament season again!!
