    If your thinking about going to a state park, you better get your reservation in now. It is probably too late for some of the more popular parks. If you want a rustic experience, try Colorado Bend state park. No electricity or bath rooms. Only a water spigot and a outhouse.

      Yeah that area is awesome.
      Another great trip is to float the lower buffalo all the way to the white river. Pack the gear in canoe and spend the night on a sandbar all to yourselves. Is around 22 miles if I remember right. Paddling up the white can be a real chore but it is a great trip...as long as the weather is decent. Last time I did this we had a huge thunderstorm move in that hovered on us all night, was pretty rough. But the smallmouth fishing is great and can float that portion and depending on the time of year not see another soul.

              In Oklahoma you can't beat Beavers Bend or Blue river.

                Big Bend state park all the way. Lots of places to camp, hike, trail ride, fish, white water raft, jeep tours and on and on!

                  just to let ya know, i was talkin to the park manager last week at garner and he told me that they r completly booked up for spring break, try magers river camp across the river if you wantin to head this way.
