it could release into Asia. It could release and be jettisoned east into Europe. Or Greenland Blocking could occur and drive it straight into the lower 48.

if I were a betting man, I’d bet it releases within a week of that timeframe (1/24), but no blocking exists and the jet stream carries it east and Europe gets the impact. But then later around mid Feb, we get a repeat, this time the ridge known as “Greenland blocking” is developed and in place and we see that cold drive south deep into the lower 48

Thanks for throwing me a life line.

The other crabs were dragging me down!!

I planted corn super early last year and got away with it. This forecast might let the seed stay in the bag a little longer. My son in law showed me that pic last night

Can you post a link to this website? The pages I visit do not forecast out that far.

Is anyone positive that PondPopper and DapperDan are not the same person? Just seems like they are one in the same. The way the letters in their usernames are arranged, their views, their conspiracy theories, etc.

PondPopper lots of geese in eastern Colorado right now, and the Panhandle. Our temps are warmish during the day but cold at night, they may start down before the 24th.
Not just eastern Colorado, there are more geese here then I've ever seen. Hopefully they go that way, and you guys can reduce the numbers substantially!

They don't even know what it's going to do a week from now. Last week they called for 8" of snow here on Friday. It rained and we got a light frosting. Ain't no way they can predict what the weather is going to do a month in advance. Politicians and weathermen are the only two groups of people that can lie every day and still have a job.

Looking good for a rush of arctic air next week. This isn't nearly as cold as 2021 or even last Feb, but plenty cold. THe northern 2/3 of the state may stay below freezing for 36 hours, with single
digits as far south as the hill country, low teens at least.

                          Initial encroachment Monday morning.

Possibly reloading with another dump of cold air going into next weekend, though that looks like its not as cold.

THis is one model run's interpretation of the data, though it is a model that tends to be more accurate for cold and winter weather.

At this moment, there does not appear to be moisture/storm systems associated. The Euro does try to put some snow in the panhandle and ice along the red river, but models don't agree.

But having said that the models also don't agree on the intrusion of arctic air, but i trust the model above more when it comes to these events.

This is for entertainment purposes, i do not claim to be a meteorologist, but a heads up on some potential.
