Between Brady and Menard it is solid green. It looks like a wet turkey season. No hard freeze and the clover is 8" deep, if not deeper, on our place..
I've only seen it this slow one other time in the 25 years on the place. All mature bucks are MIA. Area hunters are saying the same thing.

Not seeing it on our place in east Texas other than the big bucks have all but disappeared since the rut. Still seeing a lot of doe, but any bucks seen are just spikes, fork horns, and small basket racks.

There are few .5’s and 1.5’s here in Brown Co.. Makes the deer sightings fewer but more exciting. In 3-4 yrs we will have very, very few mature bucks.

After the second week of Nov our lease has sucked tremendously in Angelina County.

Well I guess it’s not just our lease but over a large swath of the hill country. We didn’t see any dead deer in the pasture to indicate a die off over the summer. Sorry that some of you are having a poor year as well. Maybe the freeze this week will kill the greenery and they will start to roam around more.

Too much food out there is what I was told when I wasn't seeing much in Oct-Nov, and after being out in the field more in Dec, I believe it.

Was lucky to connect with a decent buck over Thanksgiving and that sucker was FAT. I haven't cleaned a deer that fat in years. They are definitely eating something and it's not corn.

We back up to a greenbelt with a creek running through. About the same number of deer this year but they all seem to be smaller than in years past. Racks are noticeably smaller, too. And it may just be my imagination, but it seems to me the rut was shorter…over almost before it started.

Mast year for oak trees. I had white oaks still dropping a couple weeks ago.

Dang I was hoping to add a lease in the Hill Country for the grandkids so they could see deer every sit and stay interested. Not sure now.

Worst I’ve seen near Sonora. One or two deer a sit when we used to see 10/20

I saw plenty of deer this year just not on corn. Tons of acorns in October then everything was green. I watched 12 deer graze next to a corn pile for 30 minutes one evening. Only 4 of them stopped by for 5 minutes. The rest just walked right past it.

20 years on our lease in Comfort and it's never been this bad. One doe and a pig killed between 5 hunters this year.

This is exactly what we saw in Mason this year. Was almost a total bust. Hopefully next year will be more normal.
