This plus the BS of only being able to purchase or spend money with "qualified" companies. In other words minority owned. Gee that's good capitalism with our tax dollars to purposely over pay by 30-60%
They've definitely gone Woke, been very disappointed in the last two draw hunts I've attended in 2022 and this year and the young people they now having running some of these places, its quite a change from the past. I'm concerned they may be working on phasing out the draw hunts all together. Look at the Fairfield state park debacle when they could have bought the property for pennies on the dollar and F'd that up, the department is running poorly and has poor leadership, many of the good experienced employees are leaving for other jobs in the private sector.

Went on a draw hunt at Colorado Bend State Park at the first of the season. We got the CWD spiel from the biologist, they test every deer killed. I can only imagine how they will talk it up now that Kerr County research area had the positive occur in a double high fence area. Don't know who to believe these days, just follow the money I guess.

“Out of an abundance of caution, TPWD staff euthanized all deer in the research facility and collected post-mortem samples, which resulted in no additional detections.”

                Crazy. What a waste.

CWD is probably spread by protein feed or supplement feed contaminated with bone meal from diseased animals like sheep IMO
then spread through the ground in saturated pens in breeding farms

No. It’s naturally occurring today, the same as it was 70+ years ago.
There is no proof that CWD has ever wiped out an entire deer herd. TPWD has though. On numerous occasions.
They are in to deep to admit they mismanaged it now. They let egos and politics control the narrative. Now they have created a monster over nothing. No backing down on this issue at this point in the game, and they just killed their own deer herd to prove it. Buckle up!!!
