I have used the ignore list before back in the day …. But then decided I enjoyed watching the train wreck more than seeing the blank line.

But …I do stay out of the PACE forum for my own sanity. Is that an indirect ignore list or nah? Can I still be listed as an adult?

Fact is, most people should come with an ignore feature in real life..right on their forehead! Some people are just too stupid to deserve attention.

Almost every forum out there usually people who post threads about ignore lists simply want the ignoree's to know they've been ignored. Putting someone on the ignore list is very boring because nothing "happens" so they end up posting threads about it trying to get attention from the ignored. I may have made the list with this post. Lol

In spite of the comments against it, I still advocate in favor of the judicious use of the “ignore list.” I don’t use it often but when I do it’s because it’s best for everyone, myself especially. Generally, the people on my ignore list fall into one of three categories:

1. those whose rhetoric is militant as well as uninformed related to whatever agenda or point of contention they may be arguing for or against;

2. those who are serial posters who post so frequently that they dilute the strength of their message, which is often off topic anyway—they wear me out;

3. finally, and most importantly, people who are consistently offensive that almost everything they post just sets me off. These people bring out the worst in me. I try to keep that part of me locked down. Nobody needs to see that.

This may sound like a lot but I’ll bet, all told, there are maybe five people on my list (some of you fall into more than one category).

FYI - PACE is super boring. Went downhill after Q crap ended and after Covid/vaccine talk went away. Once the site changed it's been slow. Not even any really good conspiracies.
