It works just fine. Do it all the time with a 16" barrel. My buddy has a SBR and does it all the time

I have shot many hogs and the biggest deer of my life with a 300blk at or around 200 yards. the deer was 196 and ran 20 yards. The Barnes TTSX or whatever it is is deadly at that distance. I had a 10.5 and a 16 inch barrel that both took many many pigs over that 150 yard mark. Drop was around 7 inches from where I had it sighted in.

In my opinion, the 300 BO can be very effective as long as you are using quality supersonic rounds and can but them in the lungs/vital area. And we are not talking large boars with a shield. But other than that, a good broadside shot just behind the shoulder and the hog shouldn't go far.

Absolutely lethal in the way of energy and speed.

As for accuracy, that’s all about the Indian and the bow-arrow, and has to be determine on a case by case. Not one to judge there without knowing the facts.

Ended up having to put a deer down last year and had my 300 blk on me loaded with 110 Vmax when I came across him. Think he got hit by a car. I put two in him just to be sure. But when I dressed him, the bullets had absolutely shattered into fragments. Shot was no more than 5 yards. Not sure why that happened but it convinced me to switch to federal 150 grains after that. With either the Vmax or something heavier, I won't shoot beyond 100.

I Plan on hunting with my 300 blackout this year so I will be able to report back very soon once season opens. 16" barrel suppressed however I am shooting supers. 125 grain Hornady SST with 18 grains of H110 should produce muzzle velocity around 2100fps might be a little better but I don't have a conograph. I plan to keep my shots 150 and in as i dont feel the bullet will perform well past 150 yards. I would of like to test this round on hogs or coyotes prior to taking a deer however the opportunity hasn't presented it self.
