Trapping works, but it's hit & miss. Too passive, also. I want the carnage.

I knew an old farmer that would sneak up behind them, grab it by the tail and go beat it to death on a fence post.

Get a spray bottle fill 2/3 with water, cut 1/4 of Irish Spring soap bar into it and let soften. When its soft shake water bottle up and spray onto your furniture. If your wife has peppermint or mint essential oils add drops to the mixture as well.

IBut that's loud and I've got a few less than "country" neigbors that live on the various 5 and 10 acres tracts.

Is it legal to shoot a gun where you live (outside city limits)? If so, do what needs done and let neighbors deal with it.

Pellets from a regular pellet gun can kill, and also bounce back. To trap, there has to have some king of funnels to guide them in.

I have a pump .22 that shoots shots, longs, and long rifles cartridges. I keep it loaded with .22 shorts, and stays by my front door (large front yard). It makes very little sound.
