    Pellet Gun for Armadillos

I'm a live and let live kind of guy until they excavate my flower beds. Had one this week root up my wifes rosemary plant. Well, now it's on. Whacked him with a 22 rifle at about 4 a.m. But that's loud and I've got a few less than "country" neigbors that live on the various 5 and 10 acres tracts. So thinking about a pellet rifle for ninja dillo work. I'm not waisting an arrow on a dillo.

    Suggestions?

I'd arm up with a suppressor for an ongoing war with yard destroying critters. .22 cal are not that expensive. Love my Dead Air Mask but there are several at reasonable price points The only suck part is the wait. Thank you for nothing Federal government.

I'd get one of them fancy PCP rifles with a suppressor on it. You don't have to wait on one of those suppressors for an air rifle. Armadillos are pretty dang tough. In an urban setting I'd sure make double sure they don't leave the yard after you shoot one.

There are a ton of pellet rifles that will take care of your issues. PCP are very much capable, if you want to go down that rabbit hole ( I did). But there are several springers that would most likely get the job done also. Check out airgunsofarizona, or Utah air guns. You can get suppressors for them also, no tax stamp or anything needed, as of now. Looks as though they are trying to change that though. And not really needed on most. Here’s the one I got, but I put a wraith ir scope on it, for day or night shooting with out the need for yard lights or flash lights. Trap them and relocate them on your not so country neighbor's property.

One of these in .25 cal will take em out up to 100 yds away. These things shoot completely thru a 2x4 at 25 yds and will shoot pellet on pellet at that distance. Groups 1" at 100yds but they ain't cheap. The loudest sound you hear is the pellet hitting the target at 900fps. FX Impact M3 with Element Helix scope. 22 cal Suppressor with sub sonic ammo is no louder than a pellet rifle.

Don’t even have to do this, do an internet search on .22CB as Taz indicated.

Might be a good excuse to get a new .22 with suppressor though

Trapping works, but it's hit & miss. Too passive, also. I want the carnage.

PCP air rifles are being used to shoot P-dogs as far out as 400 yards. https://youtu.be/M-EQAr8DmsU?t=460 https://youtu.be/_laGWKqC7wU?t=66
