Wife and I eat at Union Hall when we go to the zoo up there. Lots of different little places to eat in there and every one I’ve tried so far has been good.

Hencho in Waco for Mexican is pretty good. Burnadell must have lost his taste buds.

Waco probably has the worst eating establishments of any town in Texas. The bbq sucks, the Mexican sucks, the pizza sucks….. but there are some places that suck less. For a local joint with decent CFS and very good mashed taters or fries, give Kim’s Diner a shot

You put some respect on Poppa Rollos pizza! I try to stop in there anytime I make it up there. Their old school bar is pretty neat with the secret entrance. Nachos are dang good too.

I heard that cajun place in Robinson is supposed to be good, Tejun I believe it is called.

I still stand by my vote for excellent burger and the oriental fries at Kitok's.

If all else fails there is a brand new Allsups's.

Fine dining Diamond back steak house is good but expensive. Other than that it's mostly the normal big chains for different varieties of food.

Helberg BBQ is outstanding and is routinely in Texas Monthly Top 50 and owned by great folks who love hunting. 135 Prime is a top notch steakhouse and hands down the best in town. Morosos is terrific Italian food, as well. Ninfas, Hecho en Waco, Dicamplis, Milo are all good. Shortys and PoppaRollos are great pizza spots.

I was getting ready to say it. https://georgesrestaurant.com/ I was also going to suggest Buzzard Billy's but looks like they closed.
