Is there cob or stalk in your corn, or just corn stopping it ?

Edit: Okay, read some more reviews and lots of them are having the same problem you are. I guess I’m looking to the E-Z feeder at Bucees. I hate like hell to have to drive to Terrell to get one but I will.

Thanks everyone for your opinions ! If anyone passes there or goes there please tell me if they have some and how much. Thanks !

It’s not cob or trash affecting it. Just the way the corn wedges as the plate comes to a stop. Mine is getting replaced as soon as i get it empty. All I do is slide a stick in there and push the plate to get it going again.

I appreciate the heads up, the last thing I need is a feeder that doesn’t work an hour away from home.

There are many similar complaints in the online reviews for these Academy feeders.

I can only speak for the ones I have. I use deer corn from Brookshires and never had any issues with the motor getting stuck or clogged.

I bought to of the EZ feeders like at Buccees from a dealer in Houston, been out at the lease for 3-4 months... only hiccup I have had was this weekend I went to test one and it was dead.... I forgot to connect the solar panel to the battery. it was dead and had 3 hours of sun on it Saturday afternoon but spun fine Sunday morning. Time will tell, but so far so good.

With what the junk they are manufacturing now in the “ affordable “ price range I would go back to building my own 55-80 gallon drum feeders and putting nice components on them! It’s just not that hard and it’s cost effective! The iron to make them stand and fills cost about $80 and that’s using 3/16” material and 1/4” angle for the skids! Food former thought

Had decent luck with the Bucees EZ . Already assembled @ bucees (back in the day @ $399) but dont forget to pick up the timer and buy a battery. Its a great value 600lb comes w solar panel and no cage. Not having to climb a ladder or a barrel of death coming down on you its good for me.

                          ^^ This here...
We built 3 of them last year and used old bed frames for the steel in the base. We've got a little over $150 in all three, along with some of our "free labor" to weld them all up. The 55 gal drums we bought can squeeze in every last kernel of 350 lbs of corn. We're using Wildgame Innovation digital timers/motors that we were using on our prior feeders and have had no issues with them.

Building one of these setups isn't for every one, though. But it's been working for us.

No problem with the 600lb ASF but I’ve moved to 1000lb Ranch Kings. It’s decreased my work load and are near proof- so to heck with the coons. Absolutely love it.

You jumped into a whole other level of feeder than what this thread was about! Super nice feeders though !

Krivoman makes a great feeder. the smallest stand and fill is 850lbs though and is directional. (best directional feeder out there) I will also second what was said above. I have one of the Judge feeders that works great. Company stands behind their product. Lifetime warranty on all their parts. Had a solar panel go out and they shipped a replacement to my house along with a new battery.
