Anybody have a snake gaiter they like?

Apparently my new lease is a snake hole, saw a timber and 3 copperheads just yesterday evening. I'm not buying new boots. I'm in the camp that a leather boot is enough to protect me from most bites. You're not going to convince me I'm wrong so no need in trying. I have good health insurance if I find out the hard way. However, I like to wear ankle high hiking boots a lot of the time. They are just more comfortable for long scouts. I was already considering getting a pair of gaiters to help keep stick tights out of my socks and a wee bit of protections against green briars. I figure if I'm already buying some might was well buy some snake resistant ones if a decent one is available. Hit me with some suggestions if you have any.

There's a decent pic of the Timber on my insta if you're into that sort of deal. @adampels

A buddy of mine has Snake Guardz. I wouldn't say I like them. To me any of that snake proof stuff is hot to wear. But I will say they will stop a snakes fangs. And I for sure like having my legs and feet get hot more than I like getting bit. That's not fun.

For the price of good snake gaiters, you can get a pair of snake boots.

I walked 19 miles scouting 1 weekend last year, I'll take my chances with the snakes before I do that in a pair of chippewas.

My Twisted X snake boots are so comfortable I wear them most of the time working in mesquite, cactus, briars,
barb-wire and with chainsaws. Water and mud are also no issue with them.

            Copperheads ( little bass-tards ) don’t scare me.
            Rattlesnake and moccasins bites do.
I ain’t relying on insurance when it comes to rattlesnakes.

BTW the Chippewas weren’t the most comfortable for me either. I tried several brands before I bought 2 pair of Twisted X. One low top, non-snake boots for working around the house.

I ain’t trying to convince you.

            Ok, yes I am.

Turtle skins are the best I have found. A little pricey but very comfortable and not too hot.

Chipps suck for walking. Danner, Irish Setter and Cabelas make some nice lace-up snake boots that are built like hikers

I’ve been wearing Turtle Skins for several years and really like them. They haven’t saved me from a snake bite yet but they do a great job of keeping cactus thorns out of my shins

Are the gaiters loud when you hit brush or briars?
My old snake chaps weren’t quiet.

I wear typical snake boots but when I know I'll be walking longer distances when quail hunting, I'd much rather wear gaiters with a hiking boot. I handed down a pair of Turtle Skins which are great but found a company out of Australia called Hunters Element that makes a form fitted V2 gaiter thats very comfortable paired with hiking boots such as Salomon GTX's. Much more waterproof than a typical snake boot as well keeping my feet warm on colder days even without insulation.

The Venom V2 Gaiter has been built to the same high standard as the extremely popular Basin Gaiter, but with the added Fang Shield. The Venom V2 gaiter is a tailored sculptured design to fit your leg and over your boot with the least amount of bulk. All seams, zips and Velcro are double-stitched with heavy-duty thread

Ive worn Snake Guardz for many years. They do give me peace of mind. Just take them off occasionally if lower legs get overheated. I wear them pretty much year round.

I wear snake chaps. They work great for busting through brush too.

That is along the lines of what I'm looking for, thanks.
