Apparently my new lease is a snake hole, saw a timber and 3 copperheads just yesterday evening. I'm not buying new boots. I'm in the camp that a leather boot is enough to protect me from most bites. You're not going to convince me I'm wrong so no need in trying. I have good health insurance if I find out the hard way. However, I like to wear ankle high hiking boots a lot of the time. They are just more comfortable for long scouts. I was already considering getting a pair of gaiters to help keep stick tights out of my socks and a wee bit of protections against green briars. I figure if I'm already buying some might was well buy some snake resistant ones if a decent one is available. Hit me with some suggestions if you have any.
There's a decent pic of the Timber on my insta if you're into that sort of deal. @adampels
