I bought one and have not figured out how to adjust it to get it to work right. The videos make it look easier than it is.

ID:	26583004 This tool from Stihl is a little pricey but is easy to use ( for me ) and works really well. Just get the one for your chain and have at it.
I’m an arborist and this is by far the way to go. A vise makes the job much easier too.

I bought a chainsaw sharpening kit. Came with 2 round files, 1 flat file and a handle... And some other fancy thing that didn't make much sense.

I filed the the chain(grind angle was "looks good" ) Once done, chainsaw cut like like a new chain.

I locked the chain to sharpen. Worked pretty well.

The stihl file is the way to go

Hit a couple strokes on the chain every other tank of fuel

I bought a stump vise to use in the field and it helps hold the saw still

That was my dilemma as well.

^^ This right there! Each pass makes two different cuts. A couple easy passes on each link and you're done & sharp in minutes! Plus, the built-in guides make it super easy. Forget using one of those grinder machines, you'll never get it as sharp as using this file setup.

Edit: Just make sure you get the right pitch/file for the chain on your saw. This tool comes in a bunch of different sizes to use on many different chains. Get the correct one and you're good.
