Don't know much about him other than the songs he sang. Which I always enjoyed. Mr. Buffett, rest in peace sir. Sad deal.

RIP Jimmy. Discovered him in the early 80's driving to central America playing his cassette tapes in a VW convertible. Had a little Tampico Trama.

RIP, best concert I have ever been too was the 5:00 somewhere tour Alan Jackson, George Straight, and Jimmy Buffet. Jimmy ended the show and they finally had to shut him down. He would of played all night

I’ll back you up there. No use for that type of post. Good music.

            J. Buffet could write a song. Great writer. If i never hear Margaritaville again it will be fine by me. But you can give me these tunes all day long. I wish i could figure out how to post a tune from YouTube...

....and yes, i know he didn't write all these songs. But he was a good writer and he could put you in a place....

Saw him at Red Rocks last September. He put on a great show even though I don't really care for most of his music. I wasn't really a fan of his music, but I'm a huge fan of his business prowess.

I saw him in an interview once, he said he only wanted to play bass in a band to meet girls, but he was the only one in the band with good credit. So he became the leader of the band, because he could get stuff at the music store on credit. Leverage is what you make of it.

Going to be blaring Jimmy on the elk hunt!

His business smarts were pretty unreal. Essentially became a Billionaire off of a mentality and idea. Incredible. Sold people on an idea of a lifestyle.

People forget he was a great author as well. He could really spin a tale. Some have said he was a modern day Mark Twain.
