I’ll give up loss of good dove hunting on the pond for all this rain.

Got ready for the opener last weekend.
Took my wife and youngest boy up.
Stayed at the ranch house with the in-laws, climate controlled, running water...much nicer than camp.
Pasture looks great, had just gotten more rain.
Bucks shed the velvet around September 1, fawns able to hop over the hog panels and lots of fawn pics which is great news.
This 8 point is new to the pasture.
Couple good 6-points showing up.
That's all for this report.
Good luck everybody.

Great pics and deer as usual Clark. I noticed the same on the velvet while going through pics last night. In years past the MD rub that first week of October on our place.
Rancher text this morning and said we got 1.2” in a good steady soaker after wheat was sewn in Briscoe county. Should be good and green for the opener. Might be tough hunting early but I bet its a fun year.
