          Just moved to Clarendon.

Curious if anyone has an open spot on their lease?

Oh please, come a good soaker this week. We Got wheat put in this weekend on the food plot.
Saw a lot of local farmers sending up dust clouds plowing their fields, hope they got their grain in as well.

I’ll give up loss of good dove hunting on the pond for all this rain.

Yup! This looks like Forrest Gump Big Fat Rain. Awesome sauce. Good luck for everyone getting a good soak!

Checking in from Dickens county…got on the lease late. Just got my feeder set up last weekend…lease is very promising. Only 4 of us on 2000 acres with decent numbers of both mule deer and whitetail. Keeping my fingers crossed

Got ready for the opener last weekend.
Took my wife and youngest boy up.
Stayed at the ranch house with the in-laws, climate controlled, running water...much nicer than camp.
Pasture looks great, had just gotten more rain.
Bucks shed the velvet around September 1, fawns able to hop over the hog panels and lots of fawn pics which is great news.

Great pics and deer as usual Clark. I noticed the same on the velvet while going through pics last night. In years past the MD rub that first week of October on our place.
Rancher text this morning and said we got 1.2” in a good steady soaker after wheat was sewn in Briscoe county. Should be good and green for the opener. Might be tough hunting early but I bet its a fun year.

Great pics, Clark. Our first hard-horned was Aug 30th, but it was a couple weeks later before all bucks had rubbed out with the youngsters pulling up the rear.

Good luck, y'all. And I agree with myway, it's gonna be a fun season.
