    Movie: Sisu

From the trailers, I really could not decide whether or not to watch Sisu. It sounded intriguing but I just didn't get the feeling it would be a good one. After a few weeks and watching the reviews (4.5 / 5) on Prime, I decided to watch it. My husband and I were kind of wary because we were worried it would be an over the top bloody, gory movie.

The story line is a former Norwegian commando turned prospector to be left alone is confronted by Nazi's in the closing months of the European front in WWII. He is a legend in Norway and Russia and feared by enemies.

I'm so glad we watched it. The story line is somewhat original; the scenery perfectly complemented the tone of the events in the movie and in man's heart. It was bloody and gory, but not as bad as we feared. The worst was the mine field. It was amazing to me how much story and action they packed into that 90 minutes. I didn't even realize the main character never said a word until the final scene.

If you get a chance, grab some popcorn and watch this one.

We watched it last month and had to pay to rent it. I thought it was absurdly ridiculous and over the top. The scenery was on par for Norway. For me, it was so ridiculous with the main characters ability to “not die”…..it just made each act more and more unwatchable. I wouldn’t recommend the film if you have to pay for it, but if you’re stoned or drunk, this might be entertaining ;-). Sorry DB, like most things in life, there’s different strokes and this movie definitely didn’t brush mine

I didn’t go into this movie thinking it was going to be believable

My Son and Grandsons watched it and thought it was great, Norwegian die hard. My wife went in the other room to sew.
