From the trailers, I really could not decide whether or not to watch Sisu. It sounded intriguing but I just didn't get the feeling it would be a good one. After a few weeks and watching the reviews (4.5 / 5) on Prime, I decided to watch it. My husband and I were kind of wary because we were worried it would be an over the top bloody, gory movie.
The story line is a former Norwegian commando turned prospector to be left alone is confronted by Nazi's in the closing months of the European front in WWII. He is a legend in Norway and Russia and feared by enemies.
I'm so glad we watched it. The story line is somewhat original; the scenery perfectly complemented the tone of the events in the movie and in man's heart. It was bloody and gory, but not as bad as we feared. The worst was the mine field. It was amazing to me how much story and action they packed into that 90 minutes. I didn't even realize the main character never said a word until the final scene.
If you get a chance, grab some popcorn and watch this one.
