    Dash Camera

Who runs one and what kind? Pros and cons?
I want something that doesn't distract or obstruct my vision like a stupid dingle bob hanging from the rear view mirror.

I personally don't have one YET, but I did install one in a friend's jeep and two weeks later he got hit in an intersection. The person driving the other car ran the red light and T-boned him, flipping him over. The other driver didn't have insurance, but did have 10 people in a mini van with 5 seats and tried to sue my friend....the video evidence stopped their law suit and shut up their lawyer real fast. The other driver tried to claim my friend ran the red light along with 4 other vehicles.

I’ve had a dash camera for almost 2 years now. I think the brand is Apeman but I could be mistaken. In the 2 years I’ve accumulated enough video footage to make a really long video of instant karma, bad drivers, and near wrecks. Having a dash camera that can easily pick up license plate numbers, and sometimes logos on the sides of vehicles is a necessity. Another feature that is nice that mine has is if the shock sensor is triggered from an accident, or if you hit a button on the side of it, it will lock that footage down so it can’t be erased. You have to put the memory card into a computer to pull it up and/or erase it.

I wanted one that had WIFI and an APP so I can download and store in a cloud or on my cell phone and share. Also the 24 hour parking feature with alerts. Not sure if what I bought will send alerts.

I have Rove2R-4K units in all three of my trucks. You can google them to many features to try to list. But having one of them for about 2 years now, I have had no issues with them. I hear alot of units that the Texas heat kills them but not these. I leave them mounted in the windshield just above and to the left of the mirror and have had no issues with heat yet. Check factory refurbished you can get a better price, all of mine are. Mine are front only, they do have models with front and rear.
ROVE is the one stop store for all your dash cam needs, offering dash cam for cars, dash cam for trucks, Aurora Sky projector accessories like cables, chargers and much more.

I have had the ROVE 2R-4K for about a year and a half. Good video front and back with audio (if you want those set.

No problems and I got my $85 out of it.

Not every person with a dash cam is a bad driver, but it seems dang near every bad driver has a dash cam.
