I use a 110 conibear on a leaning 4x4 post and catch the fire out of them down around my pecan trees.

I like 110 Coni. But there's to many cats in the hood.

I've got a .22 can in jail at the moment for this exact scenario at the rancho. Unfortunately will likely be next year before i've got it in-hand. Happy hunting, TG.

I watched a pair of Red-tailed Hawks hunting in tandem go after and pluck a squirrel out of a tree last week. Pretty neat to see first hand and I hope they continue to return as there are plenty more.

This is pretty good squirrel control too! Deadly, silent and unregulated...

I'd love to use mine. But got new neighbors behind me in two different houses. And I know one would report it at first opportunity. 1/5th acre ain't much here. My neighbor lady with the pecan tree is all for it though . She hates squirrels.

You give the cats a free pass?

My Daisy is in constant battle with the squirrels.

Yes, the house cats get a free pass. I don't care for them much. But most of them do hunt the squirrels. I've got a live trap set up on the corner of a cyclone fence, on top a couple of 2x12s that straddle the corner. The squirrels use that corner all the time. I've caught plenty there. The cats have been sitting next to the trap lately, waiting, and watching, stalking the squirrels. Bad part is one of those back neighbors has pushed those boards off a few times, cause they like watching those nuisance squirrels. They also have a couple of the cats . I hate living in the city. But guess that's where I'm supposed to be right now.

I used to have a dandy Blue Lacy squirrel dawg now all we have left is a clutz Blue Heeler but he is learning. He is only 16 months old and he killed 2 last week. Once the squirrels get smart they will stay away mostly. then next year it starts all over again. Click image for larger version

Ditto on living in the city!!!! My live trap is mainly for cats

I catch lots of possums but they keep things at bay.

Mike you just need a squirrel dog like mine. Luna catches a bunch of squirrels around this place.
