They don't have to be huge. Just a dominant breeder/post juvenile

LIGHT HIM UP! No point in feeding him any longer. It's a lone little boar he won't help bring any others in. Corn is best attractant for hogs, I pour Big Red soda on mine others have said red coolaid but I never have tried it.

I had about half the pictures blank. I was wondering if this was normal (I've only had the camer up about a month now). One thing I noticed is a lot of the pics I have the animal is on the edge of the frame. I'm not sure if the camera is just reacting slowly to movement or what the deal is. I had it set on low quality images previously, so I changed to high quality when I pulled this card. I'm not sure if that affects the shutter speed or motion sensor but we will see in a week or two.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I'm torn about what to do with this guy. I don't want them around tearing the place up but if they are around anyway, might as well have some bacon.

Yep, here's my buddy, this boar is always alone and acts like he's the real stuff... He ain't though, got tired of him eating my hand corn last month, so crawled down out of the stand got about 20 yards from him and chunked a rock at him as hard as I could throw it.. I missed a lil low, but it was dang funny hearing him squeal as he bolted!

Boars will run off the others. Sometimes you have to shoot 4-5 of them before you will see a big group at a new feeder.

Shoot him. Then you may have to shoot 4 more before you see a big group.

Best attractant I have found is hog wild. That stuff really brings them in.

I've had boars, young and old, dominate a feeder. They will camp out in the woods near the feeder and run anything off that tries to go to the feeder. Shoot him and you will start seeing other wildlife at the feeder.

I came back to this thread to say what Ken said here.

I have a big boar that runs by himself and he is very smart and mean. When I have tried to hunt him and he scent me out he growls. It sends cold chills up my back. I am about to dig a post hole and pour the corn in it and cover up.

I had the same issuejust recently. I had a boar by himself for a month or so. I poured out a full bag of corn under my feeder, then poured about 2.5 gallons of deisel on it. after about a week. I had 9 hogs come in and eat the corn in 1 night. I assure you there are more around.

Looks like I'm going to have to and give him some carbon poisoning. If I sour some corn will it deter the deer? I haven't seen any on cam yet, but I don't want to give them a reason not to come in for a free meal.

I wouldn't change anything, if you want to hunt that pig this week. Just sneak in and set at the feeder.
Charley Bowdre on Young Guns said: "Did you know pigs is as smart as dogs? It's true. I knew this guy in El Capitan who taught his pig to bark at strangers."

Charley is right. That pig will know somethings up if you change something.

Gasman- imo, the reason you're getting blank pictures is the brush in front of your camera. I bet if you clear out those weeds/brush in your pictures you'll have better luck & less blank pics. Most cameras will trigger when that stuff blows in the breeze. Thought that might help...

                                Good luck w/ the pig!
