    Single Pig?

    Not referring to the bachelors.

So I bought a few acres last month in the hopes of just having a retreat away from the city. If I could hunt it, it would be just that much better. So had a feeder on it since the day I closed. Haven't had much traffic yet, but I do have a pig showing up fairly frequently. He has been on camera a few times and is becoming more regular. He is always by himself. Just about every other pig I've seen is usually running in a group. Been on camera 7-8times now and always alone. Is this common? Do I have a social reject? Think there are more just not showing themselves? Any sure fire pig attractants?

That live pig don't shoot him tell you have more showing up.

Earlier this season I had a group of 30 coming to my feeder every night, and then they quit showing up, but I have a single boar show up daily. I could pattern the big group, they would always show up within a hour of sunset. The single boar comes at all times of the day & night

Same thing with this guy. He is starting to come in almost daily, but sometimes it's 7-8pm others days might be 2-3AM. Doesn't seem to follow much of a pattern. I put out some sugarbeet crush. I guess I'll see if that will tempt him or some deer in.

I always have big boars show by themselves. But they do keep company at some point, because the sows always have little ones.

It is a boar that has been ousted to find his own area. Stay with him. More will show up.

yep, most likely a boar. wait it out. if there's one, there's a bunch more ! kill him now and you'll just have to wait longer for the others to come in and keep coming in.

The big one we have ONLY shows at night and by himself. He is never with any others

He's not very big. That's why I was surprised. I'm guessing around 80-100#. Maybe a big boar did run him off.

                            Pretty typical boar behavior.

Off topic, but. You get a lot of blank pictures on that camera?
