    Hmm I have a cordless sawsall. Never thought about using it for this tho. I always use a set of limb lops.

      I have seen my cousin use a circular saw. Did the job but was a mess to clean up.

        I use it on deer, why not pigs? I like the long course bi-metal blades.

          I use a very course blade for all of the above, works like a champ!!! I dont go on a hunting trip without my saw!

                you can split the backbone. just take your time. cutting the ribs off works too, after the straps are out. bone chips will be there if its a course blade, or fine. bring a old tooth brush to clean up after. the saws all. not you.

                  We use a electric chainsaw and put cooking oil in it for the bar and chain oil. It works great.

                    I used my batt powered saws all with the 6" metal blade hung it from the tree in my back yard with thermostat wire pulled the to apart tightened the wire and split her straight down the spine next time i will figure out a way to anchor the front legs so it swings less

                    My neighbor looked over the fence and busted out laughing He wasent laughing later when we were Smoking her up though

                      Punctuation is yer friend, lol But that is pretty much what I do as well. Used a hand saw before, it never occurred to me that a Recipricating Saw would be easier . Cut out my chops and steaks with my Ryobi, no longer have to use grandad's Band saw, unless I am doing more than one animal.
