Otters in Texas?

Im 98 % sure i saw two otters in a pomd today they were not beavers and were not the little mink looking animals. They were about 3 ft long and playing like crazy. Has anyone ever seen otters in Texas?

yep....I posted the same thread a while back....I saw one in the Cibolo that backs into the San Antonio river about 2 miles north of Panna Maria in Karnes County.....

I was like no way that could be an otter....but it was....figured they would stay in cooler climates but others attested to them being this far south...

yep, Angelia River bottom duck hunting...saw lots of them.

Toledo bend is full of them, legal to trap but not shoot.

Had one swim up in my decoys while duck hunting Lake Conroe. Also saw a family of 4 taking after a nutria in a beaver pond off the Neches. Very cool to watch.

couple years ago there was 2 running around san bernard wildlife refuge but havent seen them lately.

Google river otters, they are in Texas.

yep, got them in the navasota river.

They will eat every fish in your pond if you don't run them off. I am speaking from experience. We had 3 come from the creek to our pond several years ago here in Red River County, and they were cleaning our pond out.
