I don't see it as just "any" 3rd party location. Both teams have a huge fan base in the metroplex. Those that would travel to the opposing stadium will just as quickly travel to Arlington. Personally, I'd be fine with the Aggies playing Arkansas there every year.

Funny how most Longhorn fans said they could care less about the Aggies when we left for the SEC, but as you can see they can't let it go. Most of the posts on this thread are from Longhorn fans. Interesting.

Because it's in the DFW metromess! It's a good recruiting tool and their revenue hasn't slipped. They have also won all of the games thus far. There was a 10 year contract signed in 2008. I believe the estimated revenue was to be 5 million per team. The first year the Aggies made 4.7 million and last year it was down by nearly half of that, I think 2.9 million. The Aggies want a home and home series.

Pull yourself out of the bubble man...You'd be surprised how many Horns and Aggies talk about each others teams in discussion type situations . Cooler talk, office meetings, golf, hunting campfires, fishing trips, various forums and family get togethers.

I actually find it strange you think it is odd not to talk about Aggie and Horn athletics...

And for the record, I am thinking about the Cal game tonight too and the Horns schedule has not been finalized yet.

I posted this on another forum word for word when we, Aggies and Horn fans, were discussing/predicting ts he possible record. We will do the same for the Horns schedule so that TexasAg2002 approves.

Possible wins being McNeese, @ SMU, @ Ole Miss, @ Miss. St, & Missouri.
Mississippi State was no pushover this year and Missouri is a toss up with all A&M is losing.... a new QB, new HC, new coordinators, new system and losing several good seniors.

I see 5-7 max with one a surprise win somewhere assuming a 12 game schedule with two of the opens filled in with patsies. ...but it could be just as easily 3-9... or ....worse..

FYI. I could care less what the lonhorns record is next year. I went to ATM, not Texas.
