I had a pair of square toed riding boots custom made from Rios of Raymondville back in the early 70's. Thinking of the Twisted X's or the Justin snake boots. Those Justin look like a good dual purpose boot. I bet nobody made fun of Wyatt Earp's square toed boots.

I've always been partial to Red Wings as a go to everyday boot. But this thread has been thinking . . .

Finally broke down and got the Justin square toe in steel toe for work. That's the first pair of steel toes that didnt kill my feet. Lots of toe room. I may have to get a regular pair for everyday wearing.

Broke down and got my first pair of square toes last month. Didn't think it was possible to get a more comfy pair of boots than my old ones, but I did.

Square toes are the most comfortable boot you'll wear

Love these fads that come back after 40 years, we wore them in the late 60's to early 70's. Along with plaid cuffed pants and a little patent leather for show.

I have such a wide foot and high arch I couldn't find any boots that didn't hurt until I got my luccheses square toes. They are one of the most comfortable pairs of boots I've ever owned and are perfect for riding. I'm still not sold on the look but you can't beat the fit.

They're pretty good boots, but keep an eye on the soles. I had the sole start to separate on mine.

Glad I only have to wear them when I'm on a location.
