I'm having a hard time on making a decision on what scope to put on a Remington 300 Ultra Mag Model 700 Sendero SF II. I've always been a Leupold man but am considering a Swarovski or possibly a Night Force. I want a scope that is for long range shooting. What are some of y'alls thoughts?

Im wanting a nightforce myself. I would not overlook the super sniper from www.swfa.com either. They have a 3-9X42 HD model and a 5-20X42 as well. Very good glass for the price. I have a 10X42 and it is great other than the low light shooting suffers with the fixed 10X. However, im not shooting longer ranges too early or late. Just a thought. Mine tracks great and the repeatability hasnt failed me yet. I shoot to 600 yards often.

I use the NF 3.5-15x56 with Zero Stops and it's terrific. Since the NF came out, nearly every LR record thats been set has been with a NF scope. NF glass is comparable to all the big boys and in many cases exceeds it at a lower price. Where they REALLY shine is durability - there isn't ANY scope maker that can compare in this catagory and it's one that's often overlooked. Suppose your climbing a mountain after a bighorn and you slip and bang the gun. You better hope you bought a NF. Take a look at the NF website where they have a scope that took a round through it and still worked! Sniper was able to complete mission.
I wouldn't own any other brand for LR hunting.

AggieHunter those are some great scopes.
I have always used Nikons and Leupolds.
In the last year, I have been looking for a long range scope. The Huskemaw scope from what I hear is pretty sweet for long range.
The one that I chose for my Savage 6.5x284 was the Burrus "Eliminator"! This sucker is bad to the bone. A laser with'n and the scope tells you where to put it.
Where I shoot, I can only tell you that my targets @ 600yds I am with'n 5 to 7'' from Dead On !
Good Luck !!!

You cant go wrong with any of these scopes Leupold, Swarovski or Night Force. All great choices, All quality glass, and all really durable optics.
Comes down to the compromise between Cost and actual Use. If you use it ALL the time I might be willing to spend more money on it... If I shoot it once every 3 months I might save a few bucks on it. Your call, but you cant go wrong either way.

Check out US Optics http://www.usoptics.com/ . A USA company (kind of they are in California)!! They have one of the best warranties and upgrades. Their customer service is second to none and very fast.
For a budget buy look at the Vortex Viper PST.
